Register of installment mortgages of Investor's Syndicate, Inc. 1937-1949.

Register records mortgages transferred from Investor's Syndicate, Inc., of Minneapolis to the possession of the State Treasurer. The mortgage payments were registered inorder to protect Illinois investors from the possibility of Investor's Syndicate going bankrupt. Information provided for each mortgage includes name and address of mortgagor; mortgage number assigned by Investor's Syndicate; amount and rate of mortgage; amount of monthly payment; and dates of issuance, expiration, commencement of payments, and assignment of mortgage from Investor's Syndicate. Monthly record of payments on mortgage includes amount of balance and principal on mortgage and date of payment. Also included is a record of the mortgage-guarantee insurance policy held on the property and the mortgage held by the mortgagor. Information recorded for the guarantee policy on the mortgage includes name of insurance company, number of policy, and beginning date of policy. Entries made for the fire and extended coverage policy include the name of the insurance company and the number, amount, and expiration date of the policy.
